We measure first. That is most of it.

There is not much mystery in this trade. The companies that get it right take readings before they give opinions, and the ones that do not are guessing with your money.

Two technicians reviewing a job sheet at the tailgate of a work van on a residential street.

Eighteen years in one metro

We have worked on the same housing stock long enough to know what fails in it. A 1920s bungalow in East Nashville and a 2005 two-storey in Brentwood break in completely different ways, and neither is well served by a technician who arrives with a single answer already decided.

That is the whole reason we run a load calculation on every install. It is an hour of work that occasionally costs us the bigger sale, and it is the difference between a system that holds a house and one that merely cools it.

Our technicians are EPA 608 certified and we carry full liability cover. Neither of those facts makes us unusual. What we would rather be judged on is whether the readings we hand you match what you can feel in the room.

What we will tell you not to buy

A bigger system, almost always. Oversizing is the most common and most expensive mistake in residential HVAC, and it is usually sold as an upgrade.

A mini-split for a room whose duct run is simply crushed. New equipment when the existing unit has years left and a $200 part will hold. Whichever answer is cheaper, if it is the right one, is the one you will get from us in writing.

A pegboard wall of organised hand tools, copper fittings and coils of line set.

Let's get your house back to 72 degrees.
